Working on a gazebo, and making hanging
ferns, I took a look at these wee ladies and went digging in my stash.
Came up with this bush, and
a package of dowel caps and chess pieces.
Cut the top off the chess piece, glued the dowel cap onto the top and Bob's your father's brother! Now, the magic word "paint" to look like stone.
Then take a floret and glue into the dowel cap. Start gluing pieces of dried floral around and into the floret. I even painted one of the the finished arrangements.
Larger Dowel caps can be used effectively as well:
